Project Reports

Public Engagement

On this project we teamed up with Climate Access to increase dialog with local stakeholders and make sure public feedback was incorporated throughout the project. The engagement efforts included preparing materials for use at events across the Louisville Metro region, creating a video and survey to educate residents as well as get feedback on concerns and ideas for strategies.

There were three public dialog sessions across the city, where residents came together to learn about the project, learn what climate impacts are expected for the region, and to work together in developing solutions. The public sessions were held at the University of Louisville (co-hosted by UofL Sustainability Council), Russell Vision Development Center (co-hosted by the West Jefferson County Community Task Force), and at the Northeast Regional Library (co-hosted by the Louisville Sustainability Council).

Stakeholder Engagement

Central to the Whole Community Engagement process are two day-long working sessions with stakeholders across all sectors of the community. The first one on Friday June 21, 2019 was to understand and prioritize the climate vulnerabilities in Louisville.
